IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND

This is a poster for Blowing in the Mind by Bob Dylan and it was done by Martin Sharp. This image really struck me because of its muted color scheme which is a personal preference of mine. I also enjoy the repetition of the circular shapes. This image is very psychedelic with its misshapen type and its overall trippy composition.

Guerilla One!

This is from a very super awesome website called Juxtapoz.com. I like this one because of its very strong composition that really grabs you. I think I would call this art deco mayhaps? It reminds me of the Metropolis movie poster.

Left 4 Dead

This is the box of Left 4 Dead i scanned in at home. Aside from being an awesome video game I think the graphic design on the box is pretty great. Like a lot of zombie movies and such it sticks with the hand made type and all the things that could possibly be called kitsch. But mainly the type is my focus here.

Want a Fanta?

This is an ad for strawberry Fanta. I liked this one because it a nice example of how photo manipulation can be used in Graphic Design which is cool since that is one of the things I enjoy doing alot.

Dry Clean Only

I was looking at some neat business cards and this one was my favorite. I liked that it made me think about how graphic design doesn't really have to be on paper or on the monitor. It is neat to be reminded all the applications of the field.

Rockin'

This is a Samsung advertisement for their whole "Express yourself" ad campaign. I found it when i was looking at different pieces with a common idea. It was the idea of the using smaller objects to make a larger one. I think that's neat.

This is the same idea for Dettol Instant Hand Sanitizer.

This is the image that got me started looking at the idea.

Lies For The Liars

This is the cover of The Used's cd version of Lies For The Liars. I really love their artwork for this album. I have the special edition cd/dvd, "signed woot for me!" , and the cover of it also serves as a book of all their artwork. I believe this definitly falls under digital art. I enjoy the surreal quality of it.
